Inspiration turns to layouts

So I have had such an awesome couple of days since my last post. I went to the Adele concert on Wednesday night, as I had mentioned before, and it was unbelievable. She was so fantastic, funny, beautiful, and her energy was amazing. Was able to go with Joe and my good friend Meredith. The people around us was so fun. We felt like we made friends for a night. I had some time to create this weekend and thought about musics and concerts. The rock star style. I Had this great pic of my friends from out and about and made a rocker layout. Used Rockstar from DCWV and also put my Cricut to use with the Printing Press and Graphically Speaking carts.

I was also able to visit the U.S. Open Tennis tournament on Thursday. I went with Joe, and we had the most amazing time. We got tiks to one of the Suites and it was unreal. The perfect seats to see the match, and the nicest staff that was working the Suite. We were catered
to very nicely. We felt like celebrities, lol! And on top off all this were we able to see Roger Federer make it to the Semi-Finals. He is one of the best that has ever played the game. Being at the Open made me think about why I moved to New York City. There are just so many cool things to do down here. Although the business of the city can really get to me, I feel so lucky to live down here and experience all the wonders of the city. I had been meaning to do a layout about the first pic of me after I moved to the city for a long time now. I finally completed it this weekend. Used some cool paper with the NYC landscape, Fancy Pants chipboard and Prima journaling spot.

Off to more memory making. My birthday is tomorrow and me and a bunch of friends are getting together to sing karaoke and celebrate. Yay!!!!

Speaking of New Beginings

So I am offically enrolled in school today. Yay! Going to work on getting my bacchelor degree in nursing. I have been meaning to do this forever but really never got around to it. Always busy with something else I guess, or just making excuses. I have a good friend Daronda who started her program alsmost 2 years ago. She really tried to get me to tag along with her, but I kept saying next day,month,year... Well shes had her new degree for almost 6months now, and I would too if I would have listened, LOL! But going towork on it now, so its a start.

Going to go to a fab concert tonight in the city. I'm going to see Adele. If you don't know her you should really check her out. http://www.myspace.com/adelelondon Totally fantastic. I was fortunate enough to see her earlier this summer. It was such a great concert. Her voice is spetacular. Can't wait to see her tonight. Going to the famous Webster Hall. Never been there so excited.

Thinking about the concert tonight reminded me of a recent layout I did. Last summer I saw another great female singer from England, Lily Allen. Her concert was so fun and I took a lot of great pics. Used a kit from Scraptivity and the Storybook Font cart for the Cricut.

So I hope all have a great tonight. Pics and layouts from concert to follow.

A new begining!!!!

So today I have finally done something thats been on my mind for a while. For the last couple of years I have often thought about opening some kind of shop or website to sell some of my papercrafts. It has always been in the back of my mind, but often life gets in the way and time goes by so fast. It just seemed I never really had a lot of time to focus on it or get it going. I guess I dreaded the initial set up of everything.

Well this year has been very different from me. I've got a great job that gives a good amount of vacation time. I was able to take the last 2 and 1/2 weeks of August off. The first week I spent in Cape Cod with the closest of friends, and had such a wonderful time. The later part of vacation I focused on getting items ready to sell. I've been able to make a few sets of Halloween cards, journaling spots, a tag album and some layouts. Of course, I probably could have gotten a lot more done but then theres a problem. The last grand slam of the year had been on this week, the U.S. Open of Tennis. And I have been glued to the t.v. I think I have watched about 60+ hours of tennis over the last week. And there is more yet to come. There's really been great competion and awesome matches. And I am so lucky to go to the Open this Thursday, to be there in the flesh just takes my breathe away.

But anyways, back to what I was saying. So I now have a shop on Etsy. So excited. It took my most of the day to get everything finalized and to set up the shop. To take pics, write desciptions, policies, shipping options, blah, blah, blah... But its done! Yay!!! And just in time. Back to work tomorrow.

So it also brings me to this. Why not start a blog to talk about whats going on with my new adventure. I even got a You Tube account and uploaded a video, scary I know. So I will post often and keep this place updated. Will hope to talk about the shop, life, and anything else that pops in my head.

Here's the shops website: houseofezma.etsy.com

Take a look and leave some comments. Awaiting responce.
